Update:

The initial response from interested participants was amazing, with hundreds of people interested.

When I reached out to those who expressed interest on how they would like to proceed, the vast majority of them (well over 90%) either lost interest or did not reply, despite reminders.

The interest level is insufficient to proceed, and thus this project has failed.  No-Swipe Kenai will be dissolved.  This is very heartbreaking, but I guess the residents here just want to keep the broken system as the "new normal".

I work in ministry myself on the Central Kenai Peninsula and genuinely feel sorrow for those who are struggling with loneliness, and this isn't fair to them.  If you are looking for someone else to assist you through finding companionship, all I can suggest is that you connect with your pastor.
